Cardano has a new update! What Does It Imply for ADA HODLers?

Cardano has been working to maintain a stable market position in recent months, yet it still manages to lose a significant amount of value every now and again. Even if it had a good day the day before, it has lost 3% of its value over the last seven days.

The platform’s developers have delivered an upgrade that they believe will aid in the project’s network scaling and user experience. The update will increase the Cardano network’s block size from 72KB to 80KB, according to a recent tweet from the blockchain platform’s development firm, Input Output Hong Kong.

The development firm also suggested an upgrade to the Cardano mainnet that would increase the script memory units per transaction from 12.5 million to 14 million. Both the block size and script memory unit increases will take effect on Friday.

“Together, these improvements will give greater resources for [Cardano’s smart contract platform] Plutus scripts to improve DApp [decentralized application] user experience while enhancing overall network capacity,” IOHK claims.

Cardano will be gradually optimized in a succession of measured steps this year, carefully and purposefully scaled for future expansion as demand develops…
