Dogecoin Values Increase by 20% After Doge Replaces Bird Logo on Twitter
Users of the social media platform Twitter have recently discovered a picture of a dog shown prominently. You can see it for yourself if you visit Twitter.com, where a puppy will welcome you:
Dogecoin’s logo features a stylized shiba inu, the breed of dog most often associated with the cryptocurrency.
It’s not unusual for an app to update itself by replacing or adding an icon. Dogecoin’s value soared when Twitter added its logo, attracting the attention of cryptocurrency investors. The modification to the social networking service has, in a nutshell, caused a surge.
In a larger perspective, Twitter founder Elon Musk is now in court for dogecoin, seeking dismissal of a huge action related to the cryptocurrency. Dogecoin is a “legitimate cryptocurrency that continues to retain a market worth of approximately $10 billion,” according to recent filings by Musk’s attorneys in the aforementioned lawsuit, which argue that Musk’s tweets on the subject were not misleading. We assume that Musk’s overall stance on the case informs this modification to the app.
