Much has been written about non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and their utility for passengers looking to board a train. This year, sales of NFTs alone have reached a new high, with everyone from small musicians to the greatest celebrities utilizing them to increase their reach.

There is little question that the globe has developed and is prepared to dive even further into the NFT trend. However, like with any novel notion that catches people’s interest, many individuals risk misinterpreting certain essential aspects of NFTs.

The Art and Content Industries Have Benefited from NFTs

One of the most common misunderstandings regarding NFTs is that they are only useful for artists and content providers looking to protect themselves. This is logical given that NFTs have grown in popularity as a result of these musicians. Musicians such as Snoop Dogg, Grimes, and others have been prominent in the drive for artists to join the NFT train and become more self-sufficient.

Even in Africa, artists are making extensive use of NFTs. Jude “MI” Abaga, one of the continent’s top hip-hop musicians, has teamed with Binance and is considering releasing his next album as an NFT. Artists are propelling the use of NFTs everywhere you look.
