Cryptocurrency traders in Latin America have even more reason to rejoice now that Shiba Inu is coming to one of the region’s countries.
The Shiba Inu has arrived in Latin America thanks to the Mercado Bitcoin.
Mercado Bitcoin, Brazil’s largest crypto exchange, stated on Twitter that it would begin trading Shiba Inu on December 1. This allows locals to trade the cryptocurrency on an exchange they are already acquainted with.
The statement on Twitter also included a video of the Shiba Inu dog dressed in military garb. While no justification was given for the listing, it did state that the token’s value had surged by more than 18,000 percent this year alone.
Mercado Bitcoin plans to list COSMOS (ATOM), Loopring (LRC), and Polkadot (DOT) with Shiba Inu later this week.
2TM owns Mercado Bitcoin, the largest crypto exchange in the subcontinent. The parent business just raised $50.3 million in November, following a $200 million investment round spearheaded by SoftBank in July.
