What is Shiba Inu (SHIB)?
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a decentralized cryptocurrency that was created in August 2020 by an anonymous person or group of people known as “Ryoshi.” It’s an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token that was initially billed as a “Dogecoin killer.”
The mascot of Shiba Inu is a Shiba Inu dog, a breed of hunting dog from Japan, similar to Dogecoin, which also uses the same dog breed as its mascot.
