Since hitting a market capitalization of $1 trillion on February 19, 2021, Bitcoin has now become a trillion-dollar currency. The world’s first cryptocurrency continues to establish itself as a legal commodity, with its peculiar characteristics of deep decentralization, stable issuance dynamics, and finite supply proving to be quite appealing to investors.
Bitcoin was trading around $5,000 for a brief period in March 2020. BTC is now worth over $50,000 less than a year since, demonstrating the cryptocurrency’s explosive capacity.
